Monique Brizz-Walker is the founder of Event Strategies For Success; a boutique special events fundraising firm created to support leaders nationally and globally. Signature Strategies For Success is the newest offering in our program portfolio.
Monique has nearly 30 years experience working with some of New York City’s premier organizations and raising an aggregate of $23+ million dollars. She has advanced the work of the American Folk Art Museum (AFAM), American Foundation for The University of the West Indies (AFUWI), Bedford-Stuyvesant Gateway Business Improvement District (Bed-Stuy BID), Brooklyn Metropolis Lions Club (BMLC), Brooklyn Museum of Art (BMA), Central Park Conservancy (CPC), Go On Girl Book Club (GOG), the NAACP Legal Defense Fund (LDF) and START Treatment Center; by producing events that attracted prospects and engage donors, creating strategic alliances with corporations and stakeholders, and positioning each organization in the philanthropic community.
Monique consults with non-profit leaders, Presidents, CEOs, Executive Directors and Board Members, committed to strengthening their organization’s philanthropy by building a strong fundraising infrastructure to ensure maximum impact; incorporating specially curated events into their portfolio; reinvigorating an existing event to reengage donors and stakeholders and hosting 6-or-7 figure events to ensure their non-profit is fiscally sound.
Monique finds ways to give back. As a dedicated community advocate she provides support to the Community Leadership Council Board of Kingsbrook Medical Center in her role as Vice Chair. Kingsbrook is recognized for its role in formation of One Brooklyn Health – a new health care system that will include an extensive primary and ambulatory care network and programs to address social determinants of health. She also supports Crown Heights Service Center, a leading out-of-school provider for 40+ years and home of the Crown Heights Institute for Leadership Development (CHILD), Brooklyn Metropolis Lions Club, which operates under the auspices of Lions Clubs International, a global service organization with more than 1.4 million members worldwide and the NAACP Brooklyn, New York Chapter.
Monique has been married to Stan E. Walker for the past 35 years. Stan is a principal, career educator and mentor who has worked with the New York Department of Education for 35 years. They live in Brooklyn, New York.
